This project was completed and delivered to Johnson Engineering in July 1998. It is a full-scale, highly detailed mockup of a storage locker for the Space Station, made with honeycomb-core panels to save weight. It will be used in the training of astronauts. This successful, on-time project was especially challenging because of the close tolerances required: .010" for the entire assembly and all features within. We are doing further work for the Space Station.
Testimonial
"This note of appreciation for the superior work you did for us a few years ago is late coming. However, it has been well noted in our exercises, so thank you for the great and professional support to our program.
The Rack you manufactured for us has had extensive use in various training exercises, including International Space Station Crew. The quality of work and close tolerances you held has proved to be the essence of its usability."
